Emergency plumbing
A split pipe under the floor, a cistern that will not stop filling, water coming through a ceiling rose. Tell us it is urgent on the form and the job goes to the front of the diary. While you wait, we will talk you through finding the stopcock and making things safe.
Plumbing repairs
Dripping taps, weeping compression joints, a toilet that runs all night, a shower that swings from hot to cold. Most of these are an hour or two of careful work, and in older London homes the fix is often a worn washer or a perished seal rather than a new fitting.
Boiler and heating services
Annual services, breakdown repairs, new boilers, radiators and full heating systems. We read the fault code, check the pressure and look at the whole system rather than swapping parts until something works, and all gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers.
Drainage services
Blocked kitchen sinks, bath wastes that take an age to empty, outside gullies overflowing in the rain. We clear the blockage with rods or a jetter, then use a drain camera where it keeps coming back, so you know whether it is a one-off or a cracked clay pipe from the 1900s.
Bathroom and installation work
Full bathrooms, shower rooms and wet rooms, plus the individual installs: a new basin, a thermostatic shower, a towel rail on the heating. The layout is drawn up before work starts, the pipework goes in properly, and the tiling and finishing follow one plan.
Gas and safety checks
Landlord gas safety certificates for flats, houses and HMOs, gas appliance checks when you buy a home, and a written record of what was tested. If an appliance fails, we explain why in plain words and price the repair so the certificate can be issued.
